Eon Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, and Sony Pictures Entertainment have officially announced that the 23rd Bond movie will indeed be called “Skyfall” as originally rumored. Sam Mendes (“American Beauty”) will direct from a script by Neal Purvis & Robert Wade and John Logan, with Daniel Craig back as the suave super secret agent.
In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
Besides Craig as Bond, the cast also includes Javier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw.
“Skyfall” will start shooting on Monday, November 7th, for release in the UK and Ireland on October 26th 2012 and in North America on November 9th 2012.
