Bootleg Dragonball Teaser Trailers
Dragonball: Evolution (2009) Movie, Featured, Videos — By Nix on October 1, 2008 |
It’s heeeeeeeeeere. That’s right, kids, the movie that you all love to hate — and some of you just hate to hate — has gotten a teaser trailer, which will be showing in front of “Max Payne” on October 17 as previously reported. Officially, that is. The unofficial (re: bootleg) version of the teaser has appeared online. The teaser was recently shown at the Brand Licensing Europe 2008 (whatever the heck that is), and some quick-thinking lad was able to capture it with his cellphone. It’s not the best of quality, but it’s definitely the same teaser from which images were leaked a little while back.
A young boy named Goku seeks out upon his grandfather’s dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls (of which he has one) in order to prevent Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world.
Starring Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson. James Wong (”Final Destination”) directs.
The ball drops April 10, 2009.
Update: Via reader LSB, the actual trailers for “Dragonball”! Get it while it’s still online boys and girls. Well that didn’t last very long. Here are two more versions, hopefully they’ll last longer.

@Wow, yes dragon tiger gate was kickass – the action part only! story and acting were filler at best.
Since when did anyone see a action movie for acting? Dragon Tiger Gate and the Storm Riders were perfect adaptations of comic books.
depends on where you set expectations. wilson yip managed all 3 in movies he did before DTG. if it’s a 70s low budget kungfu with a stuntmen turned director, i’d expect differently. anyway it’s not like DTG is total wash – just another step in the yip/yen collab.
Goku looks like Jerry Seinfeld must be a good comedy.
Okey what the hell men..
its like dead or alive.. nd then maybe even worse..
its like.. how do you make people hate a loving anime….!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’M BAAACK!
What the hell does this have to do with dragon ball? wow i think they ruin the movie. I’m still going to watch it but this movie looks like its going to suck alot of a$%
If you do insist on watching it, I’ll suggest you wait for the bootleg instead
This looks like a slap in the face to true DB & DBZ fans.
hey Priverson.. please be quiet. thanks.
Why should I shut up? Give me a reasonable reason first.
This movie is an ADAPTATION. Why watch a movie where you know all of the characters already and the entire plot. If they kept the talking animals and flying cars and all the capsule stuff this movie would be a flop.
Though I’m not entirely happy with some of the changes they’ve made, I’m definitely excited about a lot of the stuff that’s been leaked out in recent weeks and it’ll be interesting to see how they’ve updated the content into the 21st century. FYI, I’m a loyal DBZ fan (seen every show and movie aside from “The Magic Begins” BS). A lot of you guys grew up with DBZ so I know you’re very emotionally attached, it’s just time to grow up…
i no im going to see this film just because i love all dragonball.but i suppose your right, wait and see, still think its gonna be poo but thats my money wasted.i dont like piccolo full stop in this film, looks anyway.but im growing on goku. Also i noticed goku saying “im not ready for this” in the trailer, which is bollocks because it sounds like there only just traing him,and also goku’s ready for nething, even still, hes a saiyan and looves fightin.
if you ‘love’ dragonball then you’ll definitely won’t go see this movie.. unless you enjoy looking at goku so much. or crap for that matter. this movie will definitely destroy your dragonball nostalgia. have fun!
Priverson- shut up u little nerd kid
Yo- thank you for telling him to shut up
btw lets just save some time now for you priverson and i ll tell you how this conversation is gonna end
you: i am not nerd….blah blah….
me: yes you are, cuz you think DBZ is real martial art, it’s not, it’s just a really really cool anime
you: wat does that gota do with anything?
me: nothing, it just show that your a lil nerd kid
you:…..(looking dumb)….this movie suck….
me: then stop complaining about it, i hate mosquitoes, but you dont see complaining every second of my life
you: wat does that gota do with me and dbz?
me: its a metaphor, ppl use it to relate stuff to a nonrelated topic to help other understand
Don’t you think you’re the one round here who should be ganged up upon?
You know, only losers who worship Fox will talk any good over this piece of crap now.
OMG how hollywood can suck! and when they do, like the case is with this movie, they even manage to send the most ugliest of promotional track material. Where was the standard dragonball master roshi humor, where was goku’s unknowingly carefreeness, what’s mai doing there and why does piccolo look like something based on a star trek enterprise. Hollywood should’ve kept their hands of DBZ and let japanese or chinese cinema make a movie on it when they decide they can. Hollywood probably drained Stan Lee’s head and are now seeking form foreign idea’s to the super-hero fighting-action movie. Really, they should’ve just gone with the cgi over acting style, like a Beowulf look. The characters in this trailer look bad. The plot seems to show similarities to 1994’s Street Fighter. (how ugly can it get) The trailer alone makes it clear the filmmakers didn’t have any idea on what the primary Dragonball feel is and should be in the movie, Japanse Humor! ( = basicly Kung Fu Husstle, without the stretch). This move looks low budget, so maybe they spent it all on a fast looking sportscar instead of awesome special effects and authenticity.
I recommend nobody to see this movie, unless you happen to have some over due tomato’s on you.
I actualy hope this movie will draw a response from asian cinema to overtop this adaptation of a fantastic japanimation cartoon series with a live action cgi integrated movie of their own. And may Hollywood finally leave the super-hero era at peace. Really, M.Night Shyamalan could’ve done a better job with this.
