Brad Bird Talks about The Incredibles Sequel

I’m ashamed to admit it, but when “The Incredibles” first hit the big screen in 2004, I mostly ignored it. It’s not my fault, I just don’t go for these CGI animated movies. (I haven’t even seen “Cars” yet!) But I’ve been seeing “The Incredibles” on DVD a lot lately, especially while I’m babysitting my nephew. (He watches the bloody thing about twice a week.) And you know what? I’m LOVING it. So when Brad Bird, the original director, talked about a possible sequel with the AP, my interest piqued long enough for me to write this post about a — gasp! — CGI kids movie.
Bird is currently doing the PR rounds to promote his upcoming rat-chef CGI movie “Ratatouille”, about a rat in France and a cook or something along that line (I told you, I just don’t pay attention to this stuff), and he talked a bit about a possible sequel to “The Incredibles.”
Or actually, the AP asked him about the odds of an “Incredibles” sequel, and here’s his reply:
I love the world. I love the characters, and if I could come with a story that was as good or better than the original, I’d go there in a second. I have pieces of things that I would love to see in a sequel, but I haven’t got them all together yet, and I certainly wouldn’t want to come out there with something that is less than the original. … Sequels are not part of the business plan at Pixar. It’s all about the filmmakers being passionate about going somewhere.
So basically, don’t hold your breath, but it COULD happen in the future.
That’s good enough for me!

I think yu shold really make a sequal of he Incredibles. I think it is a really good movie. It’s been n Disney channel for about two days. Maybe more. But I watched on 3/15/08. And than I saw it on today. Which is 3/16/08. And ever time I whatch it. I think of a sequal. And I know it must be hard. But isn’t that what your supposed to do. Be a director and inpres people. So it will be awesome of you to make a sequal of Incredibles.
Thanks for reading,
