Brad Pitt and the Boys on a Tank in First Promo Image from David Ayer’s Fury

Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena and Jon Bernthal sit tall and pretty (or greasy) in the first promo picture from David Ayer’s World War II tank drama “Fury”. Talk about an untapped genre. I’ve only seen a few tank movies in my life, so if nothing else “Fury” should be pretty unique. Or mostly unique in terms of war movies, anyway.

The plot goes thusly:

FURY is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

I hope no gold is involved here, because if it is, then some guy name Kelly already did this one.

“Fury” is set for November 14, 2014.

Ayer also previously tweeted these pics from the film’s set:

Cool Stories From Zergnet

  • cklambo

funny how the allies outnumber the nazi’s & basically pushing them back to germany everyday in this time period, but the story is always about a small band of ‘heroes’ overcoming the ‘odds’

  • Baddog

Best tank movie is still “Battle of the Bulge”, a close second is “Patton”.

  • Ixodes

True enough cklambo. If this were historically accurate, our “small band of heros” would be trampled by vast groups of German soldiers running from the Soviets to surrender.
