Pitt could pull it off. He’s got a knack for playing a kick arse fighter type plus acting talent and he’s good looking, that’s enough to fit the bill. He’s got the ability to pull the character off even though he’s not a match like Arnold was doing Conan. Choosing a physical match over proven talent is a bad way to go. It’d be a fluke if some bodybuilding or wrestler type was able to pull it off instead of ruining it. There are other Arnies out there who could possibly nail this part but finding them would be a fluke.

I think that a lot of people are looking to cast Thor in the wrong way. You have got to think physique, yes, but you also have to think acting ability and being able to accept the guy as Thor and not some wrestler that you get to see every week taking a chair to the head. Keep in mind, this guy is going to keep playing the character throughout The Avengers as well, so it has to be someone who will be able to keep it up. You ruin the first movie because you based it on just body type you’re going to ruin everything they are trying to do. That being said, I think you got to get rid of HHH, Kevin Nash, Brad Pitt, and thank God that Daniel Craig didn’t take it. I’m going with either Vladimir Kulich or Sean Bean. Both I think could pull this off in different ways. Vladimir’s presence is very demanding on stage, which you need for Thor. However, if you want to develop the character on a deeper level, i’m thinking that Sean would probable pull that off a little better. Either one and i’m down with it.

Honestly I think they should pick Kevin Nash to play Thor. He actually has that “Oh Shit” factor when it comes to size. HHH may look the part but he cant act to save his life!! As far as Brad Pitt goes… I honestly WILL NOT see this movie if he is chosen.

PEOPLE, think outside the box, when you think of Thor, you think big and bulky like TripleH, yes he would fit the role look wise but as for acting, he would really have to step it up, I think that the studio should go another way with this and make Brad Pitt as Thor, for example take Superman hes very strong and powerful,yes, but is he big and bulky,no. I would love to see an average size dude get out there with the Hulk and Ironman and the rest of the avengers and be able to keep up, like Captain America, super freakin strong, average size dude, but of course he would have to be stronger than the Captain, strong like the Hulk, and the hammer should not be super freakin huge, maybe like the size of a malit, but cool looking and really powerful, remember the show Hercules, the gods werent that big and muscular, they were average size, so like I said think outside the box people.

Jane played a great punisher but the only reasoning i could even begin to imagine you’d have for suggesting him is that he’s a good actor, he has no other thor-like traits. Brad Pitt would be amazing as thor.

I think the idea of Brad Pitt for THOR is REDICULOUS!!! You want to ruin the movie before it even comes out! WHY???
Brad Pitt is all “USED UP” and he was after his first movie. Nobody wants to see THOR ruined. We are waiting for High Quality in this movie…don’t ruin it.Don’t show laziness by taking the first person available….brad pitt…what a joke.
We are hoping for someone FRESH & NEW!! We hoping for the real THOR…not brad pitt. The real Thor is not Ugly & Pig Nosed.
Vladimir Kulich was a good idea but his features aren’t sharp enough. We say KEEP LOOKING!! Look in Norway, Sweden, Austria….Find us a Viking!!!

Get Daniel Craig to grow long hair and a beard. Only a good actor can pull off all those thee’s and thou’s of the dialogue. Height doesn’t matter though (Tom Cruise can play heroic and he’s only 5′4″), otherwise, an unknown would be fine.

Brad Pitt is NOT good enough for the God of Thunder – power, grace and honor is what’s needed, not an inarticulate midwesterner with an exalted sense of importance. Just because he’s blonde ?
