Here’s your first look at Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill’s baseball movie “Moneyball”, based on the true story of Billy Beane, general manager of the Oakland A’s. I’m not a baseball freak or anything, and the most baseball I’ve consumed is following my team go to the World Series for the first time in their history, only to get swept in four games. Haven’t followed a full season of ball since, mostly because our team sucks, and the players I grew up with retired, and I don’t know who these new guys are and I don’t care to get to know them. Anyways, the “Moneyball” trailer actually looks surprisingly very decent.
The story of Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.
Starring Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robin Wright, Chris Pratt, Kathryn Morris, Tammy Blanchard, Glenn Morshower and directed by Bennett Miller.
Going for the triple September 23, 2011.
