Bradley Cooper isn’t sitting on his laurels waiting for a third “The Hangover” movie to come down the pipe. Even though he probably could. How much has that movie made already? $5 gazillion dollars? Anyways, Cooper is already rumored as the lead in a reboot of “The Crow”, has Alex Proyas’ big-budget “Paradise Lost” in the wings, and now he’s going serious. Indie drama serious.
Cooper has signed on to play a rookie cop in “Blue Valentine” director Derek Cianfrance’s crime drama “Place Beyond the Pines”. The role would pit Cooper against Cianfrance’s “Blue Valentine” star Gosling, who is playing “a pro motorcycle rider who turns to bank robberies to support his newborn son, when he crosses paths with an officer (Cooper) in a confrontation that spirals into a generational feud.”
The film is scheduled to shoot as early as July 25th, which means it will definitely be Cooper’s first movie post-“The Hangover 2”.
