Curiosity has certainly gotten the better of me on this one, folks. Director Kai Cheung Chung’s upcoming Chinese genre outing “Mysterious Island” has enough inherent cinematic weirdness surrounding it that it’s practically guaranteed a viewing in my household. Does it matter that I really have no clue as to what, precisely, is going on in this film? Of course not. If anything, that has only helped push the movie towards the top of my must-see list for this year. Below you can find the latest promotional poster for the flick, which opens in its native land on July 8th, 2011. Did you miss the trailer? Solve that problem by clicking right here.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.
