Twilight is for Girls, Immortals is for Boys.

According to the latest TV spot for “Immortals”, the “real men” are going to see Tarsem Singh’s blood-soaked epic while their lady friends are taking in a screening of “Breaking Dawn”. Given that there’s tons of semi-naked man flesh in both motion pictures, this marketing scheme doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. I propose an alternative: If you’re comfortable with your sexuality, go see “Breaking Dawn” and enjoy yourself. However, if you want to feel like a stud and you’re conflicted about your feelings regarding “Twilight”, go see “Immortals”. That way your manly friends won’t make fun of you for taking in a movie frequented by a lot of single women.

“Breaking Dawn” and “Immortals” are both in theaters right now.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)
