Poor George Bush. For a guy who seems like an affable chap who may not be all that smart, but somehow lucked (if you can call his current life “lucky”, that is) into the White House, he sure is taking a major beating. How would YOU like to have the entire entertainment industry in your country coming after you with everything they’ve got — over and over? Geez, if I was Dubya, I might have already nuked L.A. out of spite, but that’s just me. In any case, word from Michael Moore land is that the portly documentarian is readying a sequel to his successful “Fahrenheit 9/11″, to be released in early 2009, well after the U.S. elections. (I guess he’s a McCain supporter?)
Via Reuters, the film’s studios wouldn’t say what the doc would be about, except to call it “a searing and provocative follow-up” to “Fahrenheit 9/11.” I.e. “George Bush still sucks.”
Rosett said Moore’s focus in his new film is a broader look at the United States’ position as an industrialized nation and world power since the attacks of September 11, 2001.
“He intends to examine how America’s role in the world has changed over the last eight years,” Rosett said, adding that Moore did not want the film to be seen as a “politically motivated piece.”
“That’s why I think he felt strongly about not having it come out before the elections,” he told Reuters.
Hollywood, you’re just too much. Seriously, can we focus our time on something better than continually beating a dead horse to death? We get it. You hate Bush. You think he’s evil.
