Brendan Fraser Confirms G.I. Joe Cameo
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra (2009) Movie — By Nix on April 23, 2008
Not all that long ago it was reported that Brendan Fraser would be dropping by buddy director Stephen Sommer’s “G.I. Joe” movie set and doing a brief, blink-and-you’ll-miss type cameo for his “Mummy” head honcho. Not only that, but Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had also joined in on the fun with a cameo of his own. While at the New York Comic-Con, Fraser has confirmed his cameo in “G.I. Joe”, but still no word on the Rock’s appearance.
Newsarama has your info:
Actor Brendan Fraser has a series of projects coming up of possible interest to genre fans. He was at New York Comic Con Sunday in support of the upcoming Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D, and he took time to talk with Newsarama about that, along with the upcoming third installment in the popular Mummy series, Tomb of the Emperor Dragon, as well as his cameo in the in-production big screen G.I. Joe movie.
According to previous reports, Fraser will be playing the Joe called Gung Ho (below, in toy form). And as we all know, Gung Ho is also a back-up singer for the Village People on his days off from fighting crime and global tyranny.
