Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt Face Off in First Looper Clip

Joseph Gordon Levit in Looper (2012) Movie Image

There are so many things wrong with this first clip from Rian Johnson’s time-traveling actioner “Looper”. For one, Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are playing the same character years apart (that’s where the whole time-travel angle comes in). Secondly, they’re arguing, and the young guy wants his old self to off himself, but the old guy refuses then kicks his young self in the balls. That’s … just so wrong on so many levels, man.

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.

Also starring Emily Blunt, Piper Perabo, Garret Dillahunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels.

Time gets all kinds of messed up September 28, 2012.

The make-up job on Levitt is insane. Watch that win some sort of award.
