Bryan Singer Confirms Bishop and Warpath Will Be in X-Men: Days of Future Past

Man, I hope Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past” is like 3 hours long, because if it’s anything shorter than that, we might be getting one-scene-and-done with all of these mutant characters that will be showing up in the film.

With most of the cast of Matthew Vaughn’s “X-Men: First Class” already scheduled to show up, along with the major characters from Singer’s own “X-Men” trilogy, you can now add the futuristic mutant badass Bishop (that’s him with the big “M” on his face above) and the Native American Warpath to your list of mutants scheduled to wreck havoc in “DOFP”.

How do we know the two mutants will be showing up? Well, Singer recently tweeted this:

Bishop is Lucas Bishop, a mutant from the future who traveled back in time to become an important member of the X-Men in the present. Given the time-traveling storyline of “DOFP”, his presence in the movie was always a possibility. And now, a certainty.

Warpath, meanwhile, is James Proudstar, a member of the X-Men offshoot team New Mutants (then later, X-Force) and is an Apache Native American. I have no idea how he’s going to fit into “DOFP”.

Besides Bishop and Warpath (below), there’s also someone name “Blink” that will be appearing in “DOFP”, but I’ve never heard of him. Apparently the chairs for the stars on the set of “X-Men: Days of Future Past” are assigned by the name of the characters they’re playing. That’s a new one.
