BSG’s Katee Sackhoff gets Daredevil Reboot Tongues Wagging

We’ve been hearing for a while now that FOX is looking to reboot (or do a sequel to) their 2003 movie “Daredevil”, starring Ben Affleck as the blind lawyer turned superhero. The original was written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson, who has gone on to do “Ghost Rider”. This story about a possible reboot being closer to reality surfaced last week, but it was just so weak I didn’t bother to report on it. Now that everyone and their momma has picked it up, I guess I better, too, since it would suck to be caught in the wild without my own 2 cents, and I know you guys are desperate to hear what I have to say about this.

The whole hoopla came when the geeks over at the Golden Apple comic stores blogged that Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff had recently shown up inside one of their stores:

So we got a little visit in our comic shop last week by Katee Sackhoff, also known as Starbuck for her role on BSG. She proceeded to grab all the Typhoid Mary comics we had and has hopes to get a part for a marvel movie….

So if you are out there and think she would make a GREAT Typhoid Mary, then tell the peeples down at Marvel how you feel!!!

See? Not exactly solid industry insider news stuff there, folks, which is why I didn’t bother to post it last week. But anyways, here it is.

Why the association with Daredevil? Well because Typhoid Mary is one of Daredevil’s more capable foes, and although she showed up in the “Daredevil” spin-off movie “Elektra”, that was a kind of crappy version, and didn’t do her justice.

Below: Killer chicks, man. Can’t live with them, can’t outrun them.
