Apparently they’re building some storefronts over at Plano, Illinois for Zack Snyder’s upcoming “Superman: Man of Steel” big-budget epic. These definitely look like small town-type structures to me, so … is Smallville about to take a major beating in the upcoming movie? Anything’s possible. I know, not exactly mind-blowing stuff, but this early in “Man of Steel’s” production, anything’s … something, right?

Snyder’s “Man of Steel” takes flight in 2012, with Henry Cavill as the new Superman and Amy Adams as the new Lois Lane. They’re joined by Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Julia Ormond, and Antje Traue.
