Buried International Trailer Thinks Inside the Box

Man, I don’t know how Ryan Reynolds does it. No, I’m not talking about hooking Scarlett Johansson, which admittedly, is pretty damn impressive, too. I’m talking about getting stuffed into a box and shooting a movie. You gotta figure he spent hours a day for weeks in that box shooting the movie. I get claustrophobic in my car. Sheesh. Anyways, an International trailer for Reynolds’ “Buried” has surfaced online. Please to watch.

Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) is not ready to die. But when he wakes up 6 feet underground with no idea of who put him there or why, life for the truck driver and family man instantly becomes a hellish struggle for survival. Buried with only a cell phone and a lighter, his contact with the outside world and ability to piece together clues that could help him discover his location are maddeningly limited. Poor reception, a rapidly draining battery, and a dwindling oxygen supply become his worst enemies in a tightly confined race against time— fighting panic, despair and delirium, Paul has only 90 minutes to be rescued before his worst nightmare comes true.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, Robert Paterson, José Luis García Pérez, Stephen Tobolowsky, Samantha Mathis, Warner Loughlin, Ivana Miño, Erik Palladino, Heath Centazzo, Joe Guarneri, Anne Lockhart and directed by Rodrigo Cortes.

Climb in October 8, 2010.

Just wanna say that im sure it cost like no money to make this film and in the end it made a crap load of cash inreturn for it. Barely no actors to pay, just one A list celeberty and a few others for recording their voice for the phone calls that were made from the cell phone.
Bravo to the makers and bravo to Ryan Renolds for one of the best performances. I loved how Ryan has captured such a raw
bone chilling fear of emotions that can be displayed thru someone who would be in that position ( buried alive ).
You Ryan, i believe to be one of the worlds greatest actors and you always have me glued in suspence to wait and see your next performance everytime. Im so glad you are Canadian lol.

This was the absolute worst movie i have ever had the misfortune of seeing. If Ryan Reynolds was an A list actor before this then im sad to say there is really no imagination left in the movies industry and maybe we should stop wasting our money. Do not get me wrong I agree with the guy above Ryan Reynolds is a great actor so this isn’t against him except that he did this movie. Honestly isn’t there enough real hero’s and people we love dying everyday around us? I don’t know about anyone else but I go to the movies to escape the harsh reality of our world and its tragedies to pretend for that hour or so that things aren’t that bad and that is what the movies have always been about.

It seems to me that the only reason you did not like the movie was because it did not end the way you wanted it to. Your are just afraid of the world that is why you want to escape it by watching pleasant movies that end with a happily ever after, but because the movie ended up the way it did, you dislike it. So as of now your comment is what i would call Bullshit.

I could NOT agree more with Drvenm4. I felt used at the end of this movie. If I wanted to be depressed and stressed….I’d look at my bank account. Oh and why the heck think about going out with a knife to the throat? He has a huge bottle of anxiety meds??? Least that might make the living hell better….I was wondering if I should have a had a few of those pills while watching the dang movie!!!???

Nah, I agree with him… and it’s not because of ‘fear of the world around me’. LOL.. nice psycho-babble-analysis though.. While Ryan Reynolds does a fine job of portraying a scared shitless guy in a box, (who wouldn’t be), it really did end up a waste of time. Of course we want the movie to end well.. And, there IS enough tragedy around us that maybe I would like for my entertainment to end on a good note.
I cringed through the whole thing, being somewhat claustrophobic. I was thinking, there is no way I could have made this movie. (of course I realize he was not completely encapsulated, but STILL! ARGH! They did a fantastic job with this film, as far as making you feel as though you were right there with him. Not something I want to ever experience, as I’m even antsy on elevators. :)
But still, I would not recommend seeing this movie, unless you’ve seen everything else out there. Or, you’re imaginative enough to rewrite the ending in your mind. ;-)

I just watched this movie tonight. I actually just finished it like 5 minutes ago. Anyway, I didnt like the ending at all. I don’t think anyone did. After waking up there, make several dead end calls, starting the fire, dealing with the snake, watching that girl get shot, and slicing of his OWN fricken finger; I think that we all know HE SHOULD HAVE LIVED. At the very end, when all of the sand was in the coffin, and he was on the phone. Those people should not have gotton his hopes up. I mean come on, imagine, being locked in a box for 2 hours and then be told you are being rescued, if I would have gotten out, I would have sued everyone. When I was watching this movie, I didn’t really know who to trust. Because I didn’t know if the people he was contacting were really honestly trying to help him or not. If I would have been the director of this movie, I would have made god-damn sure that he lived. To me, I really enjoyed this film because I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, I also feel obligated to say, it was almost a waste of my time because he died. That’s just my opinion though. One of the other main reasons I was able to stand this movie was becuase I LOVE Ryan Renolds. It was sad to me too see him die. WORST ENDING EVER!!!!!

Yes this movie was sad and made me cry, and I had wished for a moment that I hadn’t watched…….but this was a great movie!!!! I went to bed thinking about it and woke up the next day thinking about it….this movie hit a nerve that i don’t think any other movie has ever hit with me. It made me think of myself in that position, the torture I would feel. the truth is, this movie has probably been someones reality….that is why movies like this should be made.
