It’s been a while since the “Call of Duty” games had a single-player campaign that made me actually want to play it. The whole futuristic nonsense of “Black Ops 2” just didn’t do it for me, but it looks like Infinity Ward’s “Call of Duty: Ghosts” may be the thing to bring me back into the fold. It looks like it moves the story forward, while still holding on to some of the old ways in terms of weapons, etc. Maybe it’s the whole World War II origins of the game franchise, but I just prefer the game to stay true-ish to real-life armaments.
Anyhoo. Check out the first trailer for “Ghosts'” single-player campaign. It’s pretty cool. I mean, there’s a gunfight in space. Haven’t seen that before. How does that even work, anyway? Wouldn’t you need lasers or something? I dunno, I’m not a scientist.
The franchise that has defined a generation of gaming is set to raise the bar once again with the all-new Call of Duty: Ghosts. Published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward, the studio that created the original Call of Duty and the seminal Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series, Call of Duty: Ghosts ushers in the next generation of the franchise, delivering a riveting all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting and cast, all powered by a new next-generation Call of Duty engine.
Available on all gaming platforms this November 5th. If you pre-order the game, you’ll apparently get a bonus map, if you’re into that sort of thing.
