It’s been a long time since we’ve had a decent Western on TV, but thanks to TNT, we’re about to get one in “Gateway” (aka “Tin Star”), which has cast “Priest’s” Cam Gigandet as its leading man.
The show will be set in a “Colorado town of the same name in the 1880s, Gateway tells the story of three brothers who step in to save their town when their sheriff father is murdered, pitting them against a corrupt cattle baron determined to make the town his own.”
Gigandet will play one of the brothers, Jake.
Bruce C. McKenna and Danny Cannon will produce the show, though apparently they still need to cast someone “big” enough for TNT to greenlight the pilot episode. If Gigandet is the lead and he’s not a big enough name for that greenlight, my guess is McKenna and Cannon will be looking at a big name for the cattle baron.
