Hunh, go figure. I had no idea Camilla Belle (pictured, left) was Brazilian. Anyways, the “10,000 BC” star has signed on to return to Brazil, her mother’s native land (she was born in the U.S.), to star in a new drama called “Adrift”. The film will co-star Frenchman Vincent Cassel as a promiscuous douche, and Belle will apparently play his young lover. “Adrift” will be written and directed by Heitor Dhalia, and shot entirely in Portuguese. Which means subtitles. Oh well, you can always catch this in the arthouses, I guess.
Set in the 1980s, the movie, written by Dhalia, centers on a 14-year-old girl who struggles with her life when she learns of the infidelities of her father (Vincent Cassel) while un¬dergoing her own sexual awakening.
Belle will play a young woman having an affair with the father.
The movie will be released in Brazil in 2009.
