Captain America Goes from Zero to Hero in New Theatrical Trailer

Captain America is a liar — he’s not JUST some kid from Brooklyn. Okay, so maybe he started out as one, but that changes pretty quick when Stanley Tucci sticks him into some armor coffin thingie and shoots him up with super juice. Aw, super juice. Check out the theatrical trailer for “Captain America: The First Avenger”. They could have used a better soundtrack, but eh, I guess they wanted to get the story out there so loud, exciting music was probably just going to get in the way, I suppose. Anyways, the trailer is pretty bloody awesome, so why nitpick?

“Captain America: The First Avenger” will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving.)

Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Stanley Tucci, Tommy Lee Jones, Hayley Atwell, Richard Armitage, Sebastian Stan, Dominic Cooper, Natalie Dormer, Neal McDonough, Toby Jones, and JJ Feild joins the war effort under Joe Johnston’s direction this July 22, 2011.

This looks sick. But what’s with Red Skull? His red face is under his normal skin?…..

His “normal” skin is a mask. They tweaked it a bit.

My favorite movie has been Thor, for this year, with Xmen First Class in second and Green Lantern third but this might just top it all off!

  • Eagle Eye

Man, i love it when he used that awesome SHIELD, baby!!!

Absolutely fantastic. The look on his face when he say “Nothing. I’m just a kid from Brooklyn” is PURE CAP!

Skipped thor, skipped X-men, skipped Green Lantern, but I think this one is theater worthy.

They were all theatre worthy. Don’t let the critics lead you.

      Sent on the go.

It’s not really a critic thing. $15/hr for babysitter (3-4 hours if time for dinner out), $18-20 movie tickets (x2). Movie night can quickly add up to over $150 and a lot of effort. Takes a lot to get me in a theater. Lot easier to wait for the blu-ray to come out. but having to wait is certainly a drag.

Ah gotcha. Yeah it sucks, I know what you mean. Up until this year I missed most of the movies unless made arangements. Now my daughter is 5 and we got together. On the fence about this one with the War being a real thing and all. But we’ll see.

I took the older one, 5 year old to kung fu panda 2. He could barely take it. Gary Oldman’s Peacock was way too scary for him. No way he would make it through Capt. America. The other is 2. It’ll be awhile yet before we all go to the movies together and the it’ll be like a trip to disneyland. $200 plus.

Yeah my daughter said Parallax was kinda scary in GL, but she loved it. Powered right through. She’s a tough cookie though. Her first movie was “Alice in Wonderland” I didn’t take her to that. I’ve corrupted my lil one very well. For everybit of Disney Fairies or Princesses, there’s equal parts Batman, Jusrtice League and Teen Titans. Hell I even got her watching the 2002 Master of the Universe. Lol
