Captain America On-Set Images and Videos Reveal A Big SPOILER

The “Captain America: The First Avenger” images and videos below reveal a pretty big SPOILER about the upcoming movie, in particular, a major cameo appearance. This apparently took place over the weekend — on Saturday, according to Bleeding Cool — and features — well, read on. Speculation has this being the after-the-credits easter egg for “TFA”, but I have my own theories.

All the Marvel movies have one thing in common — Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. It looks like ol one-eye will be making an appearance in “Captain America” as well, and here’s proof that he meets up with Steve Rogers in Times Square, New York, though why Nick Fury looks like his “modern” self and Rogers looks like his “WWII” self is a bit of a mystery, but perhaps that time-bending Cosmic Cube that “TFA’s” villain the Red Skull is in possession of has a little something to do with it…? (above pic) Updated: Or perhaps someone just woke up as theorized in the comments section?

UPDATE: More pics from the recent weekend shoot.

Are you sure they’re not filming the Avengers movie?

  • Csaver99

Great, Nick Fury is Kang now?

  • Lol

In one of the clips or pictures you can see the director of Captain America: The First Avenger, Joe Johnston. So obviously there aren’t filming The Avengers.

I see there using more Ultimate stuff because this reminds me of Ultimate avengers when cap wakes up and attacks everyone and goes running out of the building only to see its not 1940 anymore and fury talks to him saying we won the war.

Lol I just sent you those pics, guess I was a little late.

But hey looks like I could be right about what’s happening.

  • Falock_09

i’m sorry how is this a spoiler didn’t we all know nick fury would be showing up?

    • http://twitter.com/blk_flash Blk Flash

Yes we did but it was never said if it was the past or present but now we know, also we know that cap is gonna see more of the present then just opening his eyes at the end of the film.

I got a feeling that this is gonna be like Thor where we see Past and Present day events because I know that the film begins with him being found frozen in ice.

  • Juggernaut

Like posted above, I’m not exactly bowled over by this news. However it will be cool to see Cap’s reaction to modern America. That and maybe a reference to Fury’s aging or lack there of, lol. Can’t wait to see the finished product!

Yeah, this definitely looks like the “Cap-Wakes-Up-In-The-Present-Day-Freaks-Out-And-Talks-To-Fury” scene that’ll probably bookend the film……

  • Kourpo

im pretty sure agent phill coulson or what ever his name is handed nick furry something, and i think it was a shield covered up. i could be wrong about the shield thing but im positive that was the agent from thor!

    • Juggernaut

Absolutely! Cap’s new shield, probably the one that was designed by Stark, was shown in a case by Coulson at the 1:22 mark! Good eye!

      • http://www.originalgeekspodcast.com/ Dedpool

SWEET! That’d be a coool way to end the film.

I’m thinking that the events of the film that are in modern times occur before Ironman, The Incredible Hulk, Ironman 2 and Thor, hence the name “The First Avenger”!
In the jumbled Marvel movie timeline CATFA comes first followed by Ironman. Then The Incredible Hulk, wich takes place simultaneously with IM2. Then Thor.
    Just a theory.

    • http://www.originalgeekspodcast.com/ Dedpool

Actually thats very close, but IM2 isn’t simultaneaously happening with Incredible Hulk, but it’s like a few days off, as The fight at Culver U is being reported on at the end of IM2 and that’ the middle of Incredible Hulk. But yeah that’s the time line. And I’m thinking that this scene would take place alonmg the same time as the easter egg in Incredible Hulk, and before Thor. As I really don’t think Cap woulda been unfrozen for over a year with no one knowing about the discovery.

      • Juggernaut

That is actually exactly what I was thinking! After Stark talks to General Ross. I’m assuming that there is not supposed to be a lot of time gone by between TIH and IM2 and then the easter egg of Mjolnir being found at the end of IM2 and the events of Thor. All of this within maybe a few weeks. Realistically, Cap could have been thawed out and runs. He’s stopped by Fury, his old aquaintence from WWII and calmed down, he is taken back to S.H.I.E.L.D. labs to have testing done. During that time Coulson and company are dealing with the events of Thor. It all culminates with the timelines meeting up in the Avengers film.

I’m thinking its about a couple weeks at the most. between end of IM2 and the end of TIH,

since Nick Fury is gathering people wouldn’t he be the first avenger, coz if he is head of it he would be part of it, but I think they call it that because CA was born b4 all of them or is Nick older?
