Carla Gugino Joins De Niro and Pacino in Righteous Kill

This seems like a rather late addition to the cast of “Righteous Kill”, a crime/serial killer movie by director Jon Avnet that partners up movie icons Robert De Niro and Al Pacino as New York cops chasing a serial killer. According to the Hollywood Reporter: “Gugino has been cast as the female lead, a crime-scene investigator with a dark personal life who enters into a relationship with De Niro’s character.” Gugino is a busy gal; besides “Kill”, she’ll be playing Sally Jupiter in Zack Snyder’s “Watchmen”.

“Righteous Kill” is written by Russell Gewirtz, and you can take a look at an early teaser poster here. The cast already includes Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, 50 Cent, and Donnie Wahlberg, and the film is scheduled for a 2008 release.
