Michael J. Bassett’s “Silent Hill 2: Revelation 3D” has added two more to its cast: “The Matrix’s” Carrie-Anne Moss and genre favorite Malcolm McDowell. The two additions join fellow newcomers Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harington, who join returnees from the first movie in Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean (Harington’s “Game of Thrones” dad, natch), and Deborah Kara Unger.
Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.
In the sequel, Moss will play Claudia Wolf and Malcolm McDowell is Leonard Wolf. No word on what their character’s roles are in the movie, which is currently shooting in Toronto. The film is being produced by Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody.
Along with the announcement of Moss and McDowell joining the cast, the filmmakers also released a new image featuring its new young stars Clemens and Harington:
