When praying doesn’t work, it’s time to put the kids in the closet! Or at least, that seems to the go-to move for Carrie’s mom in director Kimberly Peirce’s remake of “Carrie”. In the film, teenager Carrie realizes she’s got some groovy powers, but no one seems to understand it, which would explain the whole practical joke at the prom thing. Why would you want to mess with a girl who can move things with her mind? Idiots.
But before the prom, there’s this between Carrie and dear ol mum. Let’s just say mum has her own way of disciplining her kids, and it involves a closet. Oh, she done mess up now!
A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.
Starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Alex Russell, Gabriella Wilde, Ansel Elgort and Julianne Moore as the crazy ass mom.
Carrie avoids the closet this October 18.
