Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi drama “Interstellar” keeps sounding better and better, especially with the latest addition to the cast in Casey Affleck, brother of Ben, and for my money, easily the better actor in the family. (Sorry, Ben.)
With Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Chastain already slotted for the film’s three main roles (with Michael Caine and Bill Irwin also tossed in there somewhere), Nolan has now added Affleck to the super duper secret film.
Of course it goes without saying we have no idea what role Affleck will be playing in the movie, just as we have no idea about the roles of any of the other castmembers, including the three leads. All we really know for sure is that Nolan and his bro Jonathan wrote the film, which at one time was a Steven Spielberg project. Spielberg has since left, but we do know that the original premise of his “Interstellar” involved space, wormholes, and time travel.
As with most Nolan films, we’ll know more about “Interstellar” when he decides to tell us, or some intrepid fanboy cracks the Nolan Vault of Secrecy. Until then, the film is scheduled to lunch next year, November 7, 2014.
Affleck, meanwhile, can next be seen in the indie drama “Ain’t Them Bodies Saint”, the trailer for which you can take a gander at below, take a ganderers:
