Casting: Jonathan Pryce in G.I. Joe, Danny Huston in Wolverine
Comic Book Movie News, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra (2009) Movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) Movie — By Nix on February 18, 2008
A couple of quick casting bits for this Monday: Gavin Good’s “Wolverine” has nabbed its young Stryker — actor Danny Huston (the creepy ass vampire from “30 Days of Night”, pictured left). At least, according to Joblo.com. He’ll be chasing Wolverine opposite Hugh Jackman as the feral Canuck, and Liev Schreiber as a young Sabretooth. Again, according to Joblo.com. If all of it turns out wrong, you know who to blame.
Meanwhile, over at G.I. Joe land, Jonathan Pryce (”Pirates of the Caribbean”, below) has been cast as the President of the United States in Stephen Sommers’ upcoming big budget action-adventure. According to Latino Review, Pryce’s Prez will have a “small but integral part in the film.” My guess is he gets kidnapped and such, and the Joes have to rescue him. That seems to happen a lot in these movies.
