Now this sounds like a great idea for an animated movie (and it actually reminds me a lot of “The Incredibles”): a supervillain finds that life is pretty boring after he defeats his archnemesis, leading him to create a new superhero in order to have someone to fight. Turns out the newly created superhero wants to be bad, too, forcing our supervillain to become a superhero. Now that’s a premise. Throw in the voice talents of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, and Jonah Hill (okay, maybe not so much Hill), and Dreamworks Animation’s “Oobermind” (originally called “Master Mind”) is looking very uber impressive.
Variety reports that Will Ferrell, no stranger to voicing animation, will be replacing Robert Downey Jr., who was originally slated to voice the film’s titular villain-turned-superhero Oobermind but left due to the ever-popular scheduling conflicts excuse. Brad Pitt will be play Oobermind’s do-gooder nemesis Metro Man, while Hill will play newly minted superhero Titan. Tina Fey is also in [...]

I’m not really a fan of animation, in particular Hollywood animation. For some reason, I never seek them out, even though, once I sit down and watch them, I generally find myself liking them. For instance, “The Incredibles”. Easily one of the best superhero movies of all time, animated or not. Now Dreamworks is apparently looking at doing something similar — except their movie is called “Master Mind”, and it’s a story from the villain’s point of view. And they’ve got some big hitters on the project, too, with Ben Stiller producing, and Robert Downey Jr. and Tina Fey lending voice work.
Entertainment Weekly has your inside scoop:
The Iron Man star is in negotiations to voice a character in Master Mind, DreamWorks Animation’s send-up of the superhero genre being produced by Ben Stiller’s production company, Red Hour Films. Tina Fey is also expected to join the cast of the movie, about a villain who loses his will to live after [...]
