Check Out a Deleted Scene From The Avengers

Mark Ruffalo and Harry Dean Stanton in The Avengers (2012) Movie Image

With “The Avengers” set to debut on DVD/Blu-ray next month, apparently some people have gotten early copies of the film, which means the Internet has been flooded with unofficial deleted scenes all day long. Marvel and Disney, as expected, have gone to great lengths to get those pulled, so honestly, we haven’t had time to post them before they’re gone like that. But Marvel has released a deleted scene on their official YouTube channel, and you can check it out below. (Note: We’ll post more if they release more, but there’s just no point in posting clips that will get pulled hours later anyway.)

So, you might recall Harry Dean Stanton’s quick appearance in Joss Whedon’s “The Avengers”, just after Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk drops out of the sky in the aftermath of the Helicarrier fight. Stanton shows up to hand Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner some new clothes. Well, that scene apparently goes on for a little longer, and during it, Stanton’s security guard character wonders if Banner is a certain Avenger that didn’t appear in the movie, but should, if all goes well, get his own movie courtesy of Edgar Wright soon enough.

“The Avengers” lands on DVD/Blu-ray September 25th.
