Love him or hate him, Adam Sandler makes movies people like. Okay, some of the times. He sometimes make movies that people absolutely hate, too, but hey, you can’t get it right all the time, am I right, boys? Anyways, Sandler’s latest is “That’s my Boy”, which co-stars the best thing to ever happen to “Saturday Night Live” since that Celebrity Jeopardy sketch, Andy Samberg. The boys team up for a Red Band trailer below. In case you missed it, Todd posted a Green Band trailer yesterday. It looks kinda funny to me. Not pay-to-see-it-in-theaters funny, but maybe stop-and-watch-it-if-I-run-across-it-on-late-night-cable-one-of-these-days funny. And don’t worry, the Red Band trailer is purely for language. (And the deflowering of a wedding dress, though you don’t actually see that. I think.)
While still in his teens, Donny (Adam Sandler) fathered a son, Todd (Andy Samberg), and raised him as a single parent up until Todd’s 18th birthday. Now, after not seeing each other for years, Todd’s world comes crashing down on the eve of his wedding when an uninvited Donny suddenly shows up. Trying desperately to reconnect with his son, Donny is now forced to deal with the repercussions of his bad parenting skills.
Starring Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, James Caan, Eva Amurri, Susan Sarandon, Milo Ventimiglia, Will Forte, Colin Quinn, Todd Bridges, Vanilla Ice, and Ian Ziering.
Daddy comes home June 15, 2012.
