Check Out This New Trailer and Character Posters for Gareth Evans’ The Raid

Those of you who have been salivating for more bone-snapping footage from “Merantau” director Gareth Evans’ upcoming action extravaganza “The Raid” should probably start fastening their cinematic party hats right about now. Hanging out just below these words is the latest trailer for this potentially awesome motion picture, a little slice of promotional wizardry that contains some stuff you haven’t seen before. Prepare to watch it over and over again. For those of you who are just now getting on-board, prepare to have your minds blown. I’ll even forgo the synopsis, as you really don’t need to know much about the flick in order to enjoy the clip.

Sony Pictures Classics will distribute the film in North America sometime next year.

About Todd Rigney

View all Posts

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.

also, it will have its US premiere next month at Sundance. as for the eventual US release, I can only hope it will be limited at first and then wide or semi-wide a month or so later, instead of just NY/LA and then that’s it!

saw this at Toronto International Film Festival with the cast and filmmakers sitting right behind me. This is purely one of the best action films I have ever seen no doubt.
