It’s a Thai movie that’s been out for about two years now but it’s finally coming to America. Yes, we’re progressive that way. Directed by Prachya Pinkaew of “Ong Bak” fame and starring JeeJa Yanin as an autistic woman with powerful martial art skills who looks to settle her ailing mother’s debts by seeking out the ruthless gangs that owe her family money. Then she kicks them in the face. Often. Hey, it’s what any good kid would do, am I right or am I right? Coming to you from the Magnolia Pictures. Or just buy the import DVD from overseas. Either/or.
FYI: The film’s tagline is “Taste the fury.” I believe in Thai the word “fury” translates to “little Thai girl’s shoes”.
