The LATimes has a new article on “Captain America: The First Avenger”, that features interviews with star Chris Evans and director Joe Johnston. Nothing is revealed that you don’t already know, but the article does come with a brand spanking new image of Evans as Steve Rogers. Check out the new pic above. Who says you can’t get a cab when you need one?
An excerpt from the article, where Evans talks about the film’s special effects, in particular the effects that put his head on a scrawny version of Steve Rogers (which, personally, I thought was fantastically done):
Evans knows that fans and bloggers zeroed in on the frail Rogers sequence in their criticism of the first trailer, but he said the ongoing visual-effects work is like a sculpting process and those scenes will deliver in the finished film. “They nailed it, it works, they really put a lot of time into it. It was a big relief for me.”
Really? I didn’t hear that much criticism of the “scrawny” effects from those mean ol bloggers. Wonder what the LATimes are reading.
Captain America wins WWII July 22, 2011.
