“Thor’s” Chris Hemsworth is the latest A-lister to be associated with Universal’s “Snow White and the Huntsman” (not to be confused with Relativity’s “The Brothers Grimm: Snow White”). Word is, Hemsworth is currently just “in talks” to join Kristen Stewart’s Snow White, where he would play the Huntsman of the title, a role that has seen Viggo Mortensen and Hugh Jackman been attached to at one point or another.
Universal hopes to have the “Thor” star join the cast of the Rupert Sanders-directed movie, which already has Charlize Theron locked in as the evil Queen and Stewart as Snow White.
Casting Hemsworth would mark a departure for the studio, who has previously tried to cast Jackman and Mortensen, both of whom are much older than star Stewart, who is 21. Hemsworth is 27, so if there was even a hint of romance in the script, it won’t be, you know, nearly as creepy as it would have been with the other two gents.
