When I first heard that “Mamma Mia” wannabe Chris Klein and rising direct-to-video action hero 50 Cent were starring in a movie called “Caught in the Crossfire”, I secretly hoped the feature would be based on the insanely unpopular 1992 board game “Crossfire”. Sadly, this is not the case. Instead, we’re treated to a faux-hardcore urban gangster flick starring Chris Klein. Call me crazy, but does Chris Klein and the phrase “hardcore urban gangster flick” sound right to you? I didn’t think so, either. The story itself isn’t too complicated — two determined detectives must battle against evil gang members and extremely crooked cops in order to stay alive — but the idea of Klein attempting to exude machismo intrigues me. Good thing Fiddy is there to help him out.
