KAZUNORI ITO TO REPLACE JOHN COLLEE AND LESLEY KRUGER ON ONIMUSHA SCRIPT.

Japanese screenwriting legend Kazunori Ito shold re-nite with Christophe Gans and Samuel Hadida to re-write the script for the delayed Onimusha movie.
The film will have the storyline and plot to follow in feudal Japan 1560 so the producers will get the project back on track after they finsh on their projects plus there will be some Japanese production companies to co-produce the film and Capcom will co-produce as well while Keiji Inafune co-writes the script with Ito.
Onimusha will be filmed in Japan and it will star Takeshi Kaneshiro and the rest of the Japanese cast.

Thank You.

next time Nix show the main character Samanosuke and not jubie.

"people hate Subtitles"

Well that's tough because the characters need to speak in Japanese. The first Oni storyline takes place in Japan in 1560... nobody in Japan was speacking English in 1560 Japan.

You maybe be a so-called devoted fan of Onimusha and Takeshi Kineshiro but your thinking in terms of money instead of what would be best for an Oni movie and making it a good film.

There is no more devoted fan of Onimusha and Takeshi Kineshiro than me
so I would like to make some comments.

I say Takeshi is the obvious choice for the movie. There are no Japanese actors well known in the West that I can recall and it would be unthinkable to put a Chinese actor in the role. Takeshi Kineshiro IS SAMONSUKE his face and voice created the character.

Many people in the West will be familiar with his face from The House of Flying Daggers and of course his connection with Onimusha. There are many many people like me who love Asian movies, so while not a top name I am sure Takeshi Kineshiro is not totally unknown. Christopher Reeve was unknown but the Superman movie was hugely successful. Brendan Fraser was not that well known when he starred in The Mummy but the movie was a huge success. The days of putting Western actors in Asian roles arelong gone and so they should be. There are plenty of good Asian actors around. I would say if the movie is made in English I think it will be much more successful. Dubbing ruins films and a lot of people hate Subtitles.

I was disappointed with Onimusha 4 Dawn of Dreams, it was not made in the true Onimush style and could have been much better. However I would love another game but this time made in the style of the first three games. On Playstation 3 this would be truly something..

ONIMUSHA MOVIE PROJECT AND OTHER FILMS.

Since I've had talked on Onimusha movie and writing out ideas for the film,
I,m not really into Onimusha series I just read the news and make comments.
Christophe Gans is directing the film and Samuel Hadida's Davis Films are making the $ 70 million movie Onimusha in China and somewhere in Japan as well.
Capcom and Japan's GAGA Communications are also involved to produce the film and other Japanese and Asian production companies will also be involved on the film with Hong Kong and Japanese filmmakers to work with Gans,
Hadida and Capcom on the production sets.
Capcom will produce the film with the production team and also will supervise the script for the movie,Lesie Kruger and John Collee are writing the script but Gans should have hire Japanese screenwriters to adapt the script during the
start of the production. The production will start in February in 2008.
Capcom has also have other video game to movie projects including a remake of Street Fighter,Clock Tower,Devil May Cry and the third Resident Evil which will release in cinemas later this year and Capcom might bring more game franchise to movies with Megaman and Darkstalkers.
Mortal Kombat filmmakers Threshold Entertainment should get their hands on Darkstalkers series,Threshold also rebooting the new Mortal Kombat movie also they are working on Ninja Scroll movie in the future.
Thank You All.
