Christopher Plummer Gets A Dragon Tattoo

Screen veteran Christopher Plummer has been cast in the American remake of “The Girls With the Dragon Tattoo”. He will play Henrik Vanger, the patriarch of a successful, but dark and twisted family in the latest adaptation of the worldwide publishing phenomenon.

The movie, which is shooting in Sweden with David Fincher behind the camera, stars Daniel Craig as a disgraced journalist who teams up with a pierced and tattooed hacker, played by Rooney Mara.

The two are hired by a wealthy industrialist (Plummer) to solve a 40-year unsolved murder, but the case uncovers a web of familial corruption.

The Oscar-nominated Plummer seems like a perfect fit for the role. He can be spooky and powerful, and will give the crucial part the personality it needs.
