Cinderella Finds her Prince in Game of Thrones’ Richard Madden

Richard Madden in GAME OF THRONES

I guess you could say the King of the North has been demoted. To a lowly prince, at that. But hey, he’s still a part of the royal family, right?

Disney has announced that Richard Madden, who plays Robb Stark on the popular HBO show “Game of Thrones”, has been cast as the Prince to Lily James’ Cinderella in the studio’s upcoming live-action take on the fairy tale. Kenneth Branagh will direct the film, with Cate Blanchett set to play the scheming evil stepmother who takes advantage of Cinderella in order to land her own fugly daughters a rich handsome suitor.

It, well, doesn’t work out for the bitches.

With Season 3 of “Game of Thrones” wrapping up, it looks like the cast will be searching for work beyond Westeros. And if the show continues to follow the plots of the George R.R. Martin books from which it is mostly based, then some of the castmembers will be looking for more permanent work than others.

“Cinderella” goes to the ball in 2014.
