Clive Barker’s Book of Blood DVD Cover Art and Specs

The Clive Barker movie “The Book of Blood” sort of came and went, and now it’s landing on DVD courtesy of Lightning Home Entertainment (who will be releasing through Lionsgate Home Entertainment) on September 29, 2009 on Blu-Ray and standard DVD. The movie will be a “Director’s Cut”, and is based on the short stories “The Book of Blood” and “On Jerusalem Street” by Barker, while the adapted screenplay is by John Harrison (who also directs) and Darin Silverman. DVD cover art and very limited specs below.

When a paranormal expert (Ward) recruits “medium” Simon McNeal (Armstrong) to investigate a supposedly haunted house, Simon winds up as a conduit for souls on their way to the afterlife –who carve their stories on his body as a living book of blood.

– Movie will be in 16×9-enhanced 1.78 widescreen with 5.1 Surround sound
– Also included is a “Behind the Scenes” featurette running approximately 20 minutes.
