Comic Con Posters for Pacific Rim and The Hobbit Part 1

If you happen to be running the gauntlet of geeks and nerds and costumed freaks at Comic Con this year, you might have gotten your hands on these posters for Guillermo del Toro’s Kaiju monsters attack flick “Pacific Rim” and Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit Part 1: An Unexpected Journey”, the first of two movies adapting Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” novel. But if you weren’t in San Diego, no worries, here are your first looks at the two poster.

I am extremely interested to see what Del Toro does with “Pacific Rim”. The premise is insanely intriguing, especially for all you fans of monster movies out there. Hopefully there will be some footage at Comic Con, which should mean some footage online afterwards. That’s usually how it works.

“Pacific Rim” poster via CBM, and “The Hobbit” poster via the film’s Facebook page. “The Hobbit”, by the by, has wrapped production. If, you know, that type of knowledge matters to you.

Can’t wait for the Hobbit! Loved LOTR but it was so dark and forboding, with the possible end of the world. Can’t wait for this good, fun fantasy adventure.

As much as love most things geek related I hadn’t seen the LOTR movies until earlier this year. They were very cool. I can’t wait to re-enter that world.
