Corey Feldman says Corey Haim Dropped out of Lost Boys 2

Horror Movie News, Lost Boys 2: The Tribe (2008) Movie — By Nix on September 7, 2007 |

Did he or didn’t he? Was it a Visa thing? A legal thing? Or as Corey Haim’s manager assured us, a “logistics” thing? Or did Warner Bros. not want to be associated with a former child star with problems as long as your arm and mine put together? So many questions, so few answers. Well now there’s one answer: Corey Feldman has reached out to MTV and given his take on the news that Haim is no longer in the Lost Boys sequel, a “rumor” that has since been confirmed when Warner Bros. released their official press release for the movie, and never mentioned Haim or his character from the original even once.

Here’s what Feldman said in a statement to MTV:

“I feel that I need to address some of the statements that have been made in reference to Corey Haim’s and my friendship and his participation in “˜Lost Boys 2 – The Tribe.’ I have always considered Corey Haim a brother and dear friend and have always been there for him. Although I am deeply saddened that he has decided not to participate in “˜Lost Boys 2,’ it was strictly his decision. For the record, I was not willing to go forward with any production or deal until I was assured that Corey Haim was onboard. I received confirmation from my representation that Haim had announced that he was officially attached to “˜Lost Boys 2.’

“After starting production in Vancouver, I learned that Haim had chosen to pull out of the project. The reasons for his decisions are his and his alone. Although I am saddened by Haim’s departure, I am enjoying working on the film and am very excited about working with my Frog Brother Jamison Newlander and to carry the torch forward. I am very proud to be part of this highly anticipated sequel for Warner Bros. and feel confident that we are making a film that the fans will welcome as a complimentary addition to the franchise.”

You know, after the crap the Coreys pulled on their A&E Reality TV show, I don’t know if I can trust any one of these guys. Then again, is there ANYONE out there who isn’t going to go see the Lost Boys sequel because one or two or none of the Coreys are in it?

I don’t really like reality shows, but I do have to admit that The Two Coreys is a very interesting show. I have always thought that both Coreys do possess quite a bit of talent. I just hope that Corey Feldman can stop looking at all the negativity in Corey Haim. Corey is trying to be sincere. When you make major mistakes in your life the people you love the most are the ones to be the most critical of your positive changes. I hope that all goes well for this friendship and that they realize their great potential. It seems that Corey H is making the best effort to change, but the Feldmans are just knocking every idea down that Corey H has to continue his success in life. Corey H has come a long way and I for one am happy with his success so far, he can only continue to go up from here.

Although Corey Feldman was a part of The Lost Boys, it was what it was because of Corey Haim. For whatever reason he decided to pull out of the movie, is his business. But the movie never should have been made without him. He was the star of the first one and should have been a major part of the sequel.

Your kiddin right? If Haim didn’t want to do it, then squash production? Man ur not too smart are ya? It’s a movie dude, Haim didn’t make the first one a success, and it can be done without him. I do wish him luck in his recovery, he is very handsome, and talented, but..come on.

I don’t know where to begin. I guess I will start by , I am a huge fan. However, while watching the two coreys tonight… I was very upset. I am not bashing by any means… but I feel saddened by someone that has been a self proclaimed Corey Haim friend. I am a recovered addict myself, and the words that came from Susie, about there being no hope for Corey, made me cry. The pedistal that girl lives on must be pristine and people who throw stones, should not live in glass houses. I praise you Susie, for being perfect. Congratufuckinglations. I am heartbroken to think that you Mr. Feldman have given up on him. I know that there must have been several upon several bad mistakes on his behalf. However, There is ALWAYS HOPE. Dont give up on him. I haven’t. My prayers are with him. Remember it is always an up hill climb as a recovering addict. You yourself Mr. Feldman, know this. He will come out on top. Have faith.

I just watched episode 5 of “The Two Cory’s” season 2.. and I too was taken back by Suzie’s comment “There is no hope for him… don’t feel sorry for him, don’t!”. Haim is trying his best to get himself back on track, and a negative back-biting comment like that from Suzie is just like a kick in the balls. Yes, there is always hope. Suzie, if you are reading this, you should be very careful with what you say on camera. If you can’t say anything positive, then don’t say anything at all.

And as for Feldman giving up on Haim? He hasn’t. Feldman is probably his only true friend. The guy absolutely wants Haim to succeed. In this last episode of the Two Cory’s, Feldman was practically balling his eyes out in the therapy session telling Haim exactly that. But it looks like Haim had fallen back into bad habits as it sounds like he snorted some coke on set of The Lost Boys 2 (due to nervousness and pressure to perform).

Ultimately, Haim is his own worst enemy. Now that doors are opening in his acting career, he’s got to kick that drug habit for good. Haim – everyone is routing for you. Now go out there and kick some ass!

OMG, COREY HAIM IS HIS OWN WORST ENEMY……..BUAT HE LIKES IT THAT WAY! FELDMAN IS A VERY
ACCOMPLISHED AND TALENTED ACTOR, PRODUCER, DIRECTOR AND SEEMS TO HAVE TURNED HIS LIFE
AROUND TO THE POSITIVE. HE HAS AN AMAZING WIFE…..AND LIFE.
HE NEEDS TO CUT COREY HAIM LOOSE ……..THE GUY IS A LOSER AND WILL ONLY DRAG HIM DOWN
EMOTIONALLY. HAIM ISN’T READY TO GET CLEAN OR HONEST WITH ANYONE LEAST OF ALL HIMSELF!
HAIM IS NOT EMOTIONALLY OR MENTALLY MATURE…………….WHO KNOW WHEN HE EVER WILL BE!

I too am disgusted with Suzie Feldman’s comments on the set of “The Lost Boys 2″ She seems to feel that she is so above Corey Haim and she can do no wrong. I am a “Corey Haim” fan. I have nothing against Feldman however Haim is the one with the real talent here. Let’s face it. Yeah he is still going through so much negativity in his life but I personally think it is due to the demons of his molestation and that needs to be addressed and dealt with. I wish He would put this person in jail and recieve the one to one therapy he really deserves. Corey you are a wonderful actor and I believe you can get through this. Keep plugging baby

  • Ryan says:

Both of them should just call it a day & hang themselves…………..

  • Rico says:

I grew up watching these guys and remember that after watching all of their movies, then seeing them again on cable for years, if either of them wants to move on with a career then they need to do stuff solo.

Feldman knows that. I saw him on Greg the Bunny as a car thief and it was hilarious! No Haim anywhere.

Haim has more than just drugs, but quitting would help. Anyone with an IQ over 100 could tell he was balls out plastered on something at the filming of LB2. Suzie was a classic uppity snob, who married up because she was a fan. The Feldmans have their own issues, but they seem like they are a team. Neither would hurt each other, just bash on Haim. Corey Feldman was doing it at the poker game just like she was at the filming.

Neither Corey is a Sean Connery, or even Keanu Reeves. They wouldn’t be able to carry a film solo…they only carry TV roles as themselves. I just don’t get the crazed fandom for these two.

Has Haim ever heard of a real JOB? Where’s he get all this money if he’s so impoverished? A Hummer, and enough to blow on full page spreads, assistants, new condos, and apparently powder…he doesn’t know how well off he’s got it, really. Audition for some commercials or bit roles first…jeez. “gotta have mah movie!!” Bo-f’n-hoo.

susie up-a-t snob???hahahah.she’s a playmate reject, one of the ugliest by far, she’s a no talent loser, who sniffs the white powder in her bathroom while she try’s to chemicaly straighten her nappy ass hair. bad hair, acne face, teeth needs braces.ugh what was feldman thinking??? a little desperate??? drew not returning your calls???

  • Delilah Jurek says:

I have to say it is sad it neither Corey’s will be in the film :-( . It won’t be a Lost Boys if you don’t have the best 2 stars in the movie! But I have to agree with everyone else, Suzie it was wrong to say there is no hope. I have heard that from many people and it tore me down, thank god I did not go into the drug direction or alcohol seeing as that is all I have grown up with and molestation. I did not graduate from high school and as sad as it is I do not have my lisence. I am a 24 year old stay at home Mom of 2 most beautiful children I can never ever leave for anything or anyone. My only hope is my children, from being told I have no hope, I feel as if I have no confidence for anything except them.
There is hope PLENTY of it and one day it will come knocking on Haims door and leave you hanging for dear life. I just habe to say “There is no hope for you Suzie”. For you to say that about someone else makes you look like a awful person, sucks ass even more that it was caught on camera.

Corey Haim, follow your heart in the right Direction, there are a lot of people who love you regardless of what you have done or are still doing. What matters is you do have friends and your heart is still beating we all have our hands patting you on the back to keep moving forward.

I think neither Corey Haim or his boyfriend Corey Feldman “LOL”, really had any bigger parts in the first Lost Boys movie. They were just reconized more because they played in a few teeny-bopper flix in the past together. Kiefer and Jason Patrick seemed to have the bigger parts to me. Anyways I think their ruining it by making a sequel, some things are just to good remake… Corey Haim probably was the smart one and saved his career by backing out of the sequel. As far as Haim’s addiction problem let the dude do what he wants he’ll figure it out, atleast he’s rich and can afford the help, think of the millions who are poor and struggle with addiction everyday and end up sleeping on our streets. The media hypes everything up so much but good luck to Haim, stay off the Purple Dragon dude…..
