In “Crank 2: High Voltage”, our anti-hero Chev Chelios, having survived his plummet from a helicopter over the skyscape of Los Angeles at the end of the first “Crank”, ends up in even more trouble when some Chinese guys decide to steal his heart and harvest his organs. But before said Chinese guys can take his dingly ding, too, Chev takes them out and then goes on a quest to get his heart back. In-between that, he runs into his girlfriend Amy Smart, who has, apparently, become a stripper (getting nailed by your boyfriend in front of some Asian tourists will do that, I suppose). Bai Ling also shows up to skank up the joint, which at this point seems to be Bai Ling’s singular reason for existing. And oh yeah, they say the F-word a lot, even an old broad, which if you don’t know, is comedy gold, or so I’m told. Check out the Red Band teaser trailer for “Crank 2: High Voltage”. It’s effin’ electrifying.
Chelios faces a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.
Starring Jason Statham, Amy Smart, Bai Ling, Efren Ramirez, Dwight Yoakam, and Corey Haim. Yes, effin’ Corey Haim. Written and directed by the boys Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor.
