I believe a reboot is not needed. The actors involved do a good job as is. The human torch and the thing are what make the movie especially johnnie (at least in my opinion). Yes, each actor had their shining moments...except Alba. Originally in the comic Sue Storm is portrayed as a supportive wife of a brilliant scientist who becomes an adventurer; later she is portrayed as a brilliant scientist herself with an inate ability to balance her work time without sacrificing the needs of the home and family (unlike Reed who is a workaholic.) Pick up a few copies of Ultimate FF from your local comic books shop to see the writers really push the brilliant scientist stuff with Sue Storm-Richards. Therefore, I completely agree that Alba did not pull off the "smarts" aspect of the character...I really don't think we should every expect her to be able to portray roles such as this.
