Daniel Craig in Talks for Ghost Thriller Dream House
Dream House Movie, Horror Movie News — By Nix on June 24, 2009 |
Bond vs. ghosts? Could happen if Daniel Craig signs on the dotted line to front the Jim Sheridan-directed “Dream House” for Morgan Creek. The film is being described as a “psychological thriller”, though by the description of the plot, it sure sounds like a ghost/horror movie to me, unless the film’s “hauntings” are all in the minds of its characters, which would be a gyp. Irishman Jim Sheridan (who has directed everything from “In America” to “Get rich or Die Tryin’”, if you can believe it) is already onboard to direct from a script by David Loucka, now all they need is a bankable star worth more than fiddy cent.
According to THR, “Dream House” would see former Bond man Daniel Craig playing a family man who moves his family to an idyllic small town, only to find that his new, dream house is haunted by its former inhabitants. And oh yeah, the old inhabitants just happened to have been murdered there. No wonder the price was so cheap!
If Craig indeed signs on, “Dream House” would be his second movie post-”Quantum of Solace”, the first being the well-received (not not commercially successful) WWII actioner “Defiance”.
Below: Now that’s what I call a fixer-upper. In Hell! Ahem.
