Daniel Craig is Still Defiant in New Defiance Images

Edward Zwick’s “Defiance” is one of those movies that seems to be going under the radar, which is odd because it’s got “big budget historical action epic” written all over it. You know, the kind of movie Edward Zwick made his bones on, and continues to excel at. Sure, trying to buy Tom Cruise as a Samurai in “The Last Samurai” was a bit of a stretch, but you know what? It was still a pretty decent historical epic. I can’t see “Defiance”, Zwick’s latest, about three Jewish brothers protecting Jewish refugees from the Nazi incursion during World War II being anything than pretty intense, epic stuff. Here are some new images for the movie.

Three Jewish brothers (Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber and Jamie Bell) escape from Nazi-occupied Poland into the Belarussian forest, where they join Russian resistance fighters and endeavor to build a village in order to protect themselves and others in danger from the encroaching Nazi army.
