Daniel Craig isn’t Going to Take your Crap, Defiance Images and Trailer

Written by Nix | June 12th, 2008 | 2 Comments |

Seriously, what were the Germans thinking, trying to push James Bond around? I mean, come on, it’s friggin James Bond, you dirty scummy Nazis! Anyhoo, that’s the premise of “Defiance”, which stars Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber, and Jamie Bell as Jewish brothers hiding out in the Belarussian forest with a whole village to protect, while the German war machine tries to get at them. Needless to say, give Bond a submachine gun, and it’s fun times indeedy. And oh yeah, it’s also directed by that Edward Zwick guy, who I hear knows a thing or two about period mega action epics. I could be wrong, of course.

Three Jewish brothers (Craig, Schreiber and Bell) escape from Nazi-occupied Poland into the Belarussian forest, where they join Russian resistance fighters and endeavor to build a village in order to protect themselves and others in danger.

It also co-stars Alexa Davalos, the really badass sci-fi chick from “The Chronicles of Riddick”, and Jodhi May, the not-all-that-badass chick from “The Last of the Mohicans”.

After seeing the trailer, I came to this conclusion: man, that Hitler dude was a really bad guy, I don’t care what anyone says.
