Daniel Day-Lewis is playing Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg’s movie about the former President called, simply enough, “Lincoln”. Ol Top Hat is certainly a popular fella nowadays, what with three films about him in as many years. There was that Robert Redford movie “The Conspirator”, which concerned the folks who shot the man; “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”, about the statuesque one’s secret occupation as a monster slayer; and now Spielberg’s “Lincoln”, which is set to shoot sometime next year, and, judging by the presence of one Daniel Day-Lewis, will be totally realistic and bio-pic-ish.
The context for the photo via Richmond.com, which I assume is an online newspaper of some sort:
The Twitterverse alerted us just after lunchtime on Wednesday, Nov. 30 that Daniel Day-Lewis was spotted dining at the brand-spanking new Arcadia restaurant in Shockoe Bottom (in the former Café Gutenberg), and Michael Phillips (aka @UVAMichael) snapped a picture.
Tweeted pic ahoy:
