Red Granite Pictures has added Juno Temple (“The Dark Night Rises”, below), Joe Anderson (“The Crazies”, left) and Kelli Garner (“Pan Am”, left) to their supernatural fantasy/thriller “Horns”. The trio joins the previously cast Daniel Radcliffe, who is playing the film’s lead.
Max Minghella (“The Social Network,” “The Ides of March”) is also currently in talks to sign up.
“Horns” follows Ig Perrish (Radcliffe), the number one suspect for the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend, Merrin (Temple). Hungover from a night of hard drinking, Ig awakens one morning to find horns starting to grow from his own head and soon realizes their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their most selfish and unspeakable impulses – an effective tool in his quest to discover the true circumstances of his late girlfriend’s tragedy and for exacting revenge on her killer.
No word on who Anderson and Garner will be playing.
Alexandre Aja, the man who gave us “The Hills Have Eyes” remake and “Piranha 3D”, will direct from a script by Keith Bunin (“In Treatment”), based on the book of the same name by Joe Hill.
Principal photography is slated to begin this fall.
