What happens when you’re trapped inside a burning building? Judging from the trailer for Danny and Oxide Pang’s “Inferno 3D,” all sorts of horrifying things will occur. The film follows the adventures of several people who are attempting to escape a commercial building after it is engulfed in flames. Although the story itself doesn’t appear to be anything new, the visuals showcased in the clip embedded below are kind of impressive.

It’s been a while since I’ve encountered a good disaster flick that mixes both gut-wrenching drama and cheesy theatrics. And while I’m not suggesting “Inferno 3D” is aiming for high camp, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if one of the film’s stars outran a fireball at some point. It may not happen, but the potential is certainly there.

Although I don’t have a proper synopsis to share with you at the moment, it’s safe to “Inferno 3D” will feature people trapped inside a burning building and firefighters attempting to rescues said individuals. I might be oversimplifying things a tad, but that’s probably the long and short of it.

“Inferno 3D” stars Louis Koo, Lau Ching-Wan, Sun Hong-Lei, Eddie Cheung, and Angelica Lee. The film is expected to hit in Chinese theaters later this year. While you’re waiting for the movie to arrive in your neck of the woods, take a quick look at the trailer below. It’s fiery!
