Danny Trejo Battles Otherworldly Forces in Justin Price’s The Cloth

Danny Trejo is the stuff. And while I’m drawn more to his action-oriented endeavors, I won’t pass up an opportunity to watch the busy actor portray a priest in horror flick. Writer/director gives the big guy an opportunity to do just that in his upcoming exorcism effort “The Cloth”. Sure, there are other actors in the film, and it does feature some pretty nifty creature effects, but Trejo is the real reason for my interest. I’m sure that’s why they hired him in the first place.

Here’s what the movie is all about:

The Cloth is a thriller centered on a secret organization formed by the Catholic Church to counteract the rising cases of demonic possessions across the country. With the arrival of the Devil’s General Kasdeya on earth, the members of the Cloth have only seven days to stop the crossover of the ultimate evil into our realm. To stop Beelzebub’s arrival, their mission depends on Jason (Kyler Willett), a young godless man, to lead the next generation of Cloth members before the Devil and his armies walk the earth.

Eric Roberts, Rachele Brooke Smith, Kyler Williett, and Steven Brand are also on-board for the terror. Take a quick peek at the images embedded below.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.
