The “Sin City” actress is said to be playing “a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city.”
She joins Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as DD’s archenemy Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin of Crime.
Daredevil, like most comic book superheroes, has had a lot of love interests over his long career, but his two main ladies are probably the assassin Elektra and civilian Karen Page. The description above for Dawson’s unnamed character sounds like it could be page, since I don’t see Elektra trying to “heal” anyone’s wounds except the ninjas she regularly fights. And of course by “healing” them I mean stab them with sharp swords.
Netflix and Marvel’s “Daredevil” will follow the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
The 13-episode first season is expected to hit the online streaming service in 2015 with “Spartacus'” Steven S. DeKnight running the show.
